The Cost of Braces & Invisalign
One of the most important and frequently asked questions from our patients is, “How much do braces cost?” We know that not getting a straight answer can be frustrating, but there are many things to consider.
The most essential thing to understand is that you are not buying a set of braces. When searching for an orthodontist, your focus should be on their skills and talents. Think about it this way: the orthodontist is the one who straightens the teeth, and the braces simply act as handles on the tooth that allow them to apply force to the roots, so that the roots move the way the orthodontist wants them to. No two patients have the same set of teeth, and as they vary from patient to patient, so do their orthodontic issues. We always suggest that you come in for a complimentary consultation because you may have several options to choose from as we tailor a plan to fit your needs.
If you are just looking for a ballpark figure, the cost of treatment for an average adult who needs comprehensive treatment (full braces or Invisalign) is typically less than $6,000. Fees for children and adolescents are typically less, as orthodontists can take advantage of the their growing faces and jaws to better position them, allowing the teeth to align with the lips. You can learn more about the costs of braces and Invisalign by visiting the Oral-B website.
It is important to know that fees vary from office to office. Here at Dr.McSurdy’s office there are no hidden fees. Your one time fee includes all visits, x-rays, consultations with physicians and other dentists, retainers, and an entire year’s worth of follow-up care once treatment is complete. Regardless of the patient’s age or situation, we offer treatments at very competitive prices compared to other local orthodontists, and we use only the highest-quality materials and labs in everything we do.
Insurance & Financing
The Smile Specialists accept all orthodontic coverage as long as it is a part of your plan — if you have orthodontic coverage, we accept your insurance. We will file the insurance on your behalf and accept assignment of benefits so that it’s one less thing for you to worry about. Additionally, we offer no-interest financing and low-cost down payments.
