Dr. Mike Skrobola grew up in Middletown, New York, where he spent his childhood enjoying the great outdoors and playing sports with his three younger brothers. The son of an orthodontist and a nurse, Dr. Mike knew from a young age that he wanted to be in the health care field. He always enjoys making people smile whether though dentistry or laughs, and orthodontics became his passion.
Dr. Mike has an extensive educational background that started at neighboring Lafayette College, where he graduated in 2012, and was published in the Journal of Comparative Neurology for his research on optics. Following his undergraduate education, Dr. Mike earned his dental degree at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine, where he graduated number one in his class.
He then began his training in orthodontics at the prestigious Eastman Institute for Oral Health, where he was one of only six students to be accepted. During his orthodontic training, Dr. Mike did research on the connection between growth, age, and orthodontics. This work is published in the Journal of Progress in Orthodontics. He also provided orthodontic care for cleft lip and palate patients and the craniofacial team at Strong Memorial Hospital. It was also at Eastman where Dr. Mike met his fiancée, Andrea, another orthodontist and Pennsylvania native!
Following his residency, Dr. Mike worked in private practice with his father. He is relocating to our area from New York so that he can begin his life with his fiancée. Dr. Mike is very excited to begin his new journey in Pennsylvania and continue creating great smiles.
Outside of work, Dr. Mike loves spending time with his fiancée and family. In his spare time he enjoys weight-training, the outdoors, and watching cooking shows.
Dr. Mike hopes to bring his enthusiasm for orthodontics and love of laughs to his patients. He is very excited and honored to take care of all of you!
