With spring’s warm weather it’s time for that trip to the sporting goods store. Baseball, soccer, lacrosse, and softball are all sports that can involve hard contact to the face. So if you have braces, please ask us for an orthodontic mouth guard (no charge). If you do not have braces, invest in a sports mouth guard from Nike or Shock Doctor. It may help to avoid dental injuries such as a fracture or tooth avulsion. I also recommend that your league purchase a few Save-A-Tooth kits incase a tooth is accidentally knocked out. Want more information about the Save-A-Tooth kits, refer to my past blog. Now if there is no Save-A-Tooth kit available, the best thing to do with a knocked out tooth is to put it right back in. Do not rinse the tooth before placing it back into the socket. The body will accept the tooth better…

Our Favorite Things
Every year at our annual office Christmas party we like to plan a gift exchange. This year we decided to do a “Favorite Things” Polyanna. Everyone was asked to bring three of their favorite things as gifts. Each gift had to be exactly the same and under $5. At the party, once everyone arrived, we wrote our name on three slips of paper and dropped them into a bag. We each then drew three names out of the bag – making sure each name we chose was different and not our own. The first person kicked it off by standing up and sharing what her gift was and why it was her favorite thing. She then delivered her gifts to each of the three girls whose name she drew from the bag. Then the next person stood up, shared her favorite things, and delivered her gifts. And so on and…

Fill Your Cup
One of my favorite people ever remains is Mother Theresa. She emphasizes that in order for you to fill your cup with love, your must first empty yourself of all that is not loving. Rid yourself of all negativity- fear, envy, anger, worry, and resentment. It makes perfect sense! Why drink clean water from a dirty cup? Then, fill yourself with love. Love yourself so that you can share that love with all others! Now, a poem by Varun Porwal conveying Mother Theresa’s thoughts: Do it Anyway- Mother Theresa People are often unreasonable, irrational, and self-centered. Forgive them anyway. If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives. Be kind anyway. If you are successful, you will win some unfaithful friends and some genuine enemies. Succeed anyway. If you are honest and sincere people may deceive you. Be honest and sincere anyway. What you spend years creating,…
Choices “Part-Two”

I heard an interesting speech recently on what affects people’s buying decisions. The argument made was that people don’t buy based on the “what” it is you do so much as the “why” you do what it is that you do what it is that you do. In other words, when customers can “feel” the love or passion behind a product or service, they are more likely to be attracted to buying. A perfect example is a product that a local endodontist invented, which never made it to American households. It is called “Save-A-Tooth.” It makes perfect sense that every parent should purchase this kit for $14.95. In addition, every major pharmacy should sell this. The kit contains solutions that you place a knocked out tooth into and it keeps the tooth fresh so that a dentist can save the tooth for up to four days! Not one major pharmacy…
